Our Story

We are Evka and Jozko. We met while renovating a volunteer-run café in our hometown. We were brought together by paint in our hair, plaster on our hands, a lot of work, and very little time. Even back then, we were looking for solutions that were not only visually appealing, but also functional, sustainable, and meaningful in the long run. Attention to detail, honest work, and practicality became the foundation of our approach — not only to work, but to life itself.

Evka has been involved in rentals for almost 25 years. She has a natural ability to read spaces, see their potential, and design solutions that work today and still make sense years later. Jozko turns those ideas into reality. He is technically skilled, systematic, and focused on getting things right down to the last detail. Together, we form a balanced team where aesthetics meet functionality.

When we started renting properties ourselves, we quickly realized how chaotic and confusing the rental world can be. Small things, like a freshly painted apartment or a landlord’s genuine interest, could mean a lot to tenants. At the same time, we encountered misunderstandings around deposits, contracts, and basic property care. We cleaned out neglected apartments, dealt with repairs, damage, and disorder. It became clear to us that decent landlords and decent tenants often have no easy way to recognize each other or set fair, transparent rules.

We talked about these experiences evening after evening. We searched for structure, clarity, and a tool that would simplify renting. We were missing something that is standard in hotels, services, or products today — transparency, reviews, and clear information.

In the meantime, we became parents of three children, and our evening conversations slowly turned into a concrete solution. That solution became Rentalkovo. Together with friends, we started building a tool that helps landlords keep everything important in one place. An overview of contracts, apartment equipment, tenants, repairs, tasks, and finances. Managing a single rental can still work with a notebook or a spreadsheet, but with multiple properties, chaos quickly multiplies.

Rentalkovo was created to bring landlords peace of mind, order, and confidence. To give them clarity, less stress, and more time. To help them make decisions based on data rather than gut feelings, and to build fair, long-term relationships with tenants. We are building it as people who have been through it all ourselves. We believe that when good intentions, a solid system, and a fair approach come together, renting can work better for everyone.
